MAX McGRAIL

Max paints in a realistic style, with elements of fantasy and surrealism. The technique which he uses, is building up many layers of paint to give a very fine and detailed finish. He was born and educated in Wanganui and has been focused of art since a very early age. Max then went on to study for 4 years an Elam Art School in Auckland, graduating in 1977 with a diploma in fine arts with honours. He has exhibited regulary since over the years mainly in his home town of Wanganui where he paints full time and runs his own gallery.
